House Republicans Preview Budget Priorities

RICHMOND, VA – This afternoon House Republicans discussed various budget priorities for the 2012-14 biennium.  Delegate Steve Landes (R-Augusta) and Delegate S. Chris Jones (R-Suffolk), both members of the House Appropriations Committee, discussed house budget plans for economic development and health and human services spending, respectively.

Their comments followed overview remarks yesterday from Appropriations Chairman Delegate Lacey Putney (I-Bedford) and Appropriations Vice Chairman and House Majority Leader Delegate Kirk Cox (R-Colonial Heights).

Included below are links to each of the Delegate’s budget remarks.  The Appropriations Committee will vote on proposed House amendments to the Governor’s biennial budget this coming Sunday, February 19, at 1:00 pm in the 9th Floor Appropriations Committee Room.
