House Republican Leader C. Todd Gilbert (R-Shenandoah), issued the following statement:

“Congratulations to my friend and former colleague Rich Anderson on his convincing win in today’s RPV Chairman’s race. Chairman-elect Anderson has a long history of service to our country and Commonwealth, and I couldn’t be more pleased to see him step in and take the reins at RPV. As he likes to say, it’s time to win again.

“I also want to thank outgoing Chairman Jack Wilson for his work and dedication to our shared conservative values. Our Party is stronger and better for his service, and I look forward to seeing the next chapter in his political career.

“From this point forward, our mission as a caucus is clear: return the majority, and return common sense to the House of Delegates. I look forward to working with Chairman-elect Anderson to make that happen.”
