House Republican Leader Todd Gilbert issued the following statement:

“The entire House Republican Caucus is sad to hear that our friend Del. Mark Cole will be retiring at the end of this current term. For his entire career, Mark has been a stalwart conservative and a fierce fighter for the people of the 88th District. He’s done his job so well that he’s only the second person to hold the seat since it’s creation.

“While we will miss our friend and colleague, his retirement is well deserved after two decades of hard work and constituent service. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
